Gardening can strain your body, especially your back and hips. Here are a few simple stretches to help keep you limber and pain-free. Watch the video to see them in action!
1. Standing Cat-Camel
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Arch your back (Camel) and round it (Cat) to stretch your spine.
2. Standing Extension
Stand tall, place hands on your lower back, and gently extend your back upward to counteract forward bending.
3. Leg Swings
Hold onto something sturdy and swing one leg forward and backward to loosen up your hips. Switch legs after a few swings.
4. Hip Circles
Stand with feet apart, place hands on your hips, and make circles with your hips in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.
5. Arm Circles
Extend your arms and make small circles to warm up your shoulders before digging or raking.
